With home movie watching taking many forms (both legal and otherwise) cinemas had a challenge to keep people coming.
Cinemas have met that challenge with inventive twists on the movie watching experience.
One of those is 4DX. A transformation of the cinema auditorium into a rollercoaster like set up resplendent in moving seats, smoke and even rain.
So it’s a lot of fun, but it’s not going to suitable for a slow burning documentary of Nepalese yak herders (even though that’s a great film to watch).
So which films are best?
The recent Aquaman was perfect given it’s underwater action and fun tone.
Another is the last installment of the Fast and Furious franchise, Hobbs and Shaw.
You’ll need to strap in, in more ways than one, when you see this film in a 4DX cinema.
