Air Studios was the location of many a classic album during the 1980s. It was situated on the Caribbean island of Montserrat not far away from a volcano. Perhaps not far enough away from a volcano.
The world still has the music that it created – and it’s an impressive list – but it’s extraordinary to see such a significant chapter of music history be so ingloriously brought to an end.
