The Human Library is an organisation that curates a library of people.

They organise events where readers ‘borrow’ human beings serving as open books and have conversations they would not normally have access to.
As they mention on their website, “Every human book from our bookshelf, represent a group in our society that is often subjected to prejudice, stigmatisation or discrimination because of their lifestyle, diagnosis, belief, disability, social status, ethnic origin.”
This looks like a great initiative. In a world of isolation – both self induced or otherwise – something like this will hopefully bring people together and encourage understanding.
