The King Street Carnival is a type of upgrade from the King Street Crawl that was set up to promote local live music venues in the Newtown area.
While the local small venues are still hosting their own bands, a nearby park is being set up for the more conventional music festival experience.
While the heart of the event is to give the local small venues a leg up, it’s music to the ears to see another festival going to bigger and better things promoting live music.
