It’s been known for a while that AirBnB leads to higher rental and property prices for long term residents. So how has the pandemic effected all this?
It’s not been great for the suppliers of AirBnB with demand way down as people travel less.
This is isn’t all bad as the previously mentioned rental and property problem gains a reprieve.
Will AirBnB coming roaring back once the pandemic has abated? Not so fast says regulators. Regulators in cities like Paris and Barcelona are taking steps to ensure they don’t come back to previous levels.
This will benefit locals as pressure comes off rents and prices. It will also alleviate the problematic renters who ruin the serenity and atmosphere of a neighbourhood.
