Starting with a selection of B sides and outtakes from the period, the band then went into performing the album in its entirety. Rounding off the set with the song, Three Imaginary Boys (which is celebrating it’s 40th anniversary) and a cover of Wendy Waldman’s Pirate Ships.

Pictures of Concerts

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the release of their album Disintegration, The Cure will be performing a special series of concerts playing the album in its entirety.

The concerts are going to be a residency at the Sydney Opera House as part of the Vivid Festival from the 24th May.

The catch is that the way to secure these much sought after tickets is by lottery. If you don’t know if you have tickets already, then you’ve probably missed out.

For those unticketed among us are not completely left out. A live stream of the event will be taking place on the 3oth of May.
