Sixty years ago this month, both the first James Bond film and The Beatles debut single were released.

Amazing that they were both released on the same day: October 5, 1962.

News reports have come in saying that former The Smiths guitarist, Johnny Marr is to co-compose music for the next Bond film, No Time To Die.

This has prompted this bureau to wonder what Smiths songs that would make good Bond movie titles.

You Just Haven’t Earned It Yet, Baby, could be about Bond falling out with the establishment yet again.

What’s The World, has that understated nature often seen in a Bond title.

This Charming Man, would be a natural fit of course, but, The Queen Is Dead, sounds a bit servere – that would more be a plot twist.

With Dr Who, the Ghostbusters (and perhaps Thor) exloring genders anew, another will be joining in the party.

The new 007 will (wisely) not be a new Bond, but it is a welcome shake up of the most male of franchises.

The biggest reaction seems to be coming from those of distasteful views on race and gender. They are welcome to see the exit is that way.
