Some great images of some of the great libraries of Europe from Robert Dawson.
“Libraries are especially useful in this moment, because they’re open to everybody,” Robert Dawson says. “They can be a way for us to talk to each other. Throughout the world, they’re symbols of hope.” Robert Dawson Photography Website
The lockdowns would have turned many to reading books, but the restrictions prevented them from doing one of a reader’s favourite things to do: Go to a library. With restrictions easing, that hobby can soon return and photographer Robert Dawson has captured many of them to celebrate these well-read institutions.
From the beginning of this century Dawson has been chronicling the great and not so great libraries of the world.
