The Paris Olympics Organising Committee has announced its mascots for the big event.
They’re called the Phryges and have presumably nothing to do with the musical mode and more to do with the cap worn during revolutionary France.
They certainly do have some resemblance to this forgettable creature and probably won’t be as memorable as previous unofficial mascots.
